Youth Basketball+Naseeha Program (Ages 13-18)

Alhamdulillah, FaezSports is proud to offer a Youth Naseeha+Basketball Program for girls ages 13-18, designed to help young girls develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game in a hijab-friendly, supportive and empowering environment.

This program is led by Coach Mel, an enthusiastic and highly experienced basketball player and coach. Coach Mel has been coaching and officiating exclusively with Muslim women–led organizations since 2017, including Hijabi Ballers, the Muslim Women’s Summer Basketball League (MWSBL), the North American Premier League Basketball (NAPL), and Modesty In Motion. She brings a deep passion for basketball and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with the youth of FaezSports.

Players will focus on:

• Fundamental basketball skills (shooting, passing, dribbling, defense)

• Game understanding and teamwork

• Confidence-building through structured drills and gameplay

• A positive, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere

Each session begins with an age-appropriate Naseeha Circle, designed as a dedicated safe space for girls navigating these pivotal years. Led by an OCT-certified teacher experienced in youth mentorship, these circles offer a supportive environment to explore spiritual reminders, ask honest questions, and discuss the unique challenges they face today.

• Ages: Girls aged 13-18

• Day: Tuesdays

• Time: 8:15 PM – 9:30 PM

• Dates: April 7-June 9 (*Please note, there will be no sessions during Eid-ul-Adha week*)

• Location: Biidaasige Mandamin Public School - 777 Balaton Ave, Pickering, ON
